12th, Nov, 2009 I was relieved to be finally diagnosed with "herpes zoster" today. All of my friends were so sure that I was bitten by ticks! It started with fever, and upset stomach for a few days. Then suddenly acute pain came on the left side of my stomach. Day and night, I was suffering from the pain of these reddish fluid-filled blisters all over my left waistline, along with severe stomachache. Still my friends teased me for tick bites. But today, since my pain was unbearable, I went to the doctor and was told “HERPES”! Thank God!? At least it was not due to ticks, my dear friends, but still, it is very painful, Oh, my stomach!!! It is 4:00 am now, and I can’t sleep due to my stomachache. Please see a doctor when you see the blisters in India. It is not necessarily mosquito bites nor tick bites, could be herpes zoster!!! |
